Macdermott Cancer Unit,
Ulster Hospital, Dundonald

A larger waiting area, additional disabled toilets, new kitchen facilitities and a number of roof penetrations were amongst the works undertaken.

All of the above works took place in the vicinity of a live working hospital over 3 month period with all works programmed to minimise disruption to existing services.  To do this successfully we had to liaise with the Trust estates staff to agree the programme for the works.

Electrical

Existing electrical components to be altered and reinstated to suit new room configuration as well as a new emergency lighting system and new general lighting.  We find it very beneficial that part of the Barrett companies is our Electrical division which carried out these tasks.

Mechanical

Upgrade to existing pipework and heating panels to suit new room layouts.
